Leg Up Stables Horse Camp

This camp is intended for novice riders who wish to gain knowledge in a fun and safe environment. Increase your riding, management, and horsemanship skills.

Monday - Friday

  • Riding Lessons (flat and over fences)
  • Horse care
  • Games and activities (horse painting, barn olympics)
  • Stable management
  • Grooming (bathing, braiding, mane pulling)
  • End of the week competition with ribbons and prizes
  • Learn about a variety of different diciplines (dressage, gaming, equitation, and jumping)

Things to Bring

  • Bag lunch
  • Wear comfortable clothes (jeans, boots with 1/2 inch heel)
  • Helmets will be available, but feel free to bring your own

Classes may fill up quickly. Don't be stuck on a waiting list, sign up now!

Price is $300 per person, due on the first day of camp.

Leg Up Stables is owned by Kim Sanford, who is the coach for the SUNY Geneseo equestrian team. Kim has lead the team to many successes, including regionals, zones, and nationals. Kim has been involved in the Genesee Valley Hunt, Genesee Valley Breeders Association, and Genesee Valley Pony Club. She has also worked with 4H and Pony Club, both as an instructor and a judge.
